Worship Notes from Susan

The Worship Team would like to thank all those volunteers who helped to decorate and un-decorate for the Advent and Christmas season.  Visual decorations add so much to our worship and
fellowship times together!

Speaking of Worship Team:  We would love to have a few more voices on our team.  If you have ideas about worship at First Presbyterian Church, join us!  We arrange for serving communion, recruit Lay Liturgists and Calling All Kids leaders, decorate for special "high holy days," set schedules for worship, and bounce around ideas for worship enhancements of all kinds.  Shannon Livingston is our moderator or talk to Stephen or Susan.

Here's a special note from Dave about this:
"Thank you to Jim Builer, Jim Slayton, Dick Albright and Wayne Schmidt for all your help with taking down the trees and cleaning the Sanctuary.  Oh, and I liked talking to you all during your one-hour break!"

And speaking of enhancing worship:  We especially are looking for artistic or visual people to form a Decorating Team as an adjunct group reporting to the Worship Team.  A seasonal commitment, not regular meetings.  Let Worship Team know if you can help!

Pipe Up!  Learn about the Pipe Organ
Saturday, Feb. 11th
Pipe Up!, a workshop sponsored by the American Guild of Organists to introduce   students (and adults) to the Pipe Organ, will be held at First United Methodist Church on
Saturday morning, February 11.  Please register by calling the Conservatory registrar, Lynn Riska, at 715-845-6279.  Taught by Wausau Conservatory of Music organ teacher Nancy Siebecker, these classes are grouped by age level (Gr. K-5 or Gr. 6-adult). You don't need keyboard experience, but if you are a pianist, you are encouraged to bring one of your pieces to try on the organ.
