The Red Tent Gathering: Women of the Tent
Women of all ages are invited to participate in exploring the
lives of Biblical women and one’s own. In ancient times the Red Tent
was a safe and sacred place where women gathered to experience,
share, celebrate and mourn the rhythms of life as a woman. This
program was developed 3 years ago by Rev. Beth Patton, a
Presbyterian candidate for ordained ministry in Fullerton, CA. Her
purpose for this series is to dig deeper into the Biblical narrative
to learn more about the women and ourselves.
Sessions will be held on these Saturday mornings from 9:00-11:00 am.
Participants may attend any or all sessions.
Feb. 21: Sarah and Hagar: Journey
Mar. 17: Miriam: Courage
Apr. 21: Mary and Martha: Choices
May 19: Unnamed Women of Jesus’ Ministry: Voice
Pre-registration (a week in advance) is requested so enough
participant guides and materials are ordered.
