Childrens Education Offerings

Child Care is available for infant through 6 year olds on Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 11:00 am. The nursery is staffed with two adults to provide care during the school year. The nursery room is open for parents and children during the summer. Childcare can also arranged on request as needed at other times.

“Thrilling Thursdays” for Parents and Kids at First Presbyterian Church, Wausau
Through August 26th, 2010

Here is something to do this summer…with your church family. An event or activity has been planned for every Thursday this summer. For insurance reasons, parents (or a responsible adult) will need to participate with the kids. On days we have excursions planned we will meet at the church and arrange car pools.

1. August 5 9:00 AM in the library. Car pool to Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary and Park
Green Bay. Bring lunch. (Mary and Ted Sperduto’s daughter-in-law will be our guide.)

2. August 12 10 - 11 AM at church – “Wump World” – just for fun!

3. August 16 – 20 Renew: The Green Vacation Bible School.
9 AM to Noon (Mon.-Wed.) 9 AM to 3:30 PM (Thurs.) 9AM to 1 PM (Fri.)

4. August 26 9:30 AM in the library. Car pool to the Central Wisconsin Children’s Museum Stevens Point. (Reservations needed.) $3/person. Anticipate return by 2 PM.

Check out the ParentLink Newsletter designed for parents of children ages 3 through 12. Each month it contains information for spiritual formation as well as influences from today’s culture such as TV, movies, music, or games. A calendar is included with some church and community activities listed.

This exciting vacation Bible school program that is based on The Parable of the Sower and deals with ecology. Kids will grow in faith, have fun, and change the world! It is for children ages 3 through 12 and three churches are working together to implement a spectacular week from August 16-20, 2010. A few openings are still availble. Cost is $15/child or $30/family. Contact the church or mpaulson@firstpreswausau.org for details.
