Food Pantry

First Presbyterian Church wishes to thank Roundy’s and the Wausau
Pick-n-Save for their generous contribution to our Food Pantry
Program. Roundy’s has given a $4,000 grant to be used at
Pick-n-Save to supplement our Food Pantry needs. Mr. Jack
Anderson who heads up the program is seen here with Kathy
DeYarman, Business Manager receiving the grant from Wausau
Pick-n-Save Store Manager Steve Schweiger. We appreciate
their generosity and concern for the community.
First Presbyterian Church Food Pantry
First Presbyterian provides a food pantry twice each month on the
first and third Tuesdays at the church between 1:00-2:00 PM. The
pantry is open to ANYONE in the Wausau area that has the need for
it. Those who participate are asked to provide their name, address,
and the number of persons who will benefit from the food although
names of persons who use the pantry are never shared with any other
agency and are kept completely confidential. Each participant is
provided with two bags of nonperishable groceries such as cereal,
canned goods, and boxed meals. Occasionally frozen meats or other
foods are available. Funds to operate the food pantry are provided
by church members and grants from the Winnebago Presbytery, Second
Harvest, and the Roundy’s Corporation.
